Dear colleague Yolanda, we are a group of former union members and left-wing professionals who experience politics as an indispensable civic necessity. For this reason, we follow with great attention your project of mobilizing the left to face an uncertain and turbulent present in our country. With this brief note, we want to make some observations about what we have read about your “Listening Process” strategy, in case they are of any use to you. We have doubts about the appropriateness of a listening process that does not take as reference your previous explanation, your interpretation of the nature of the crisis and your vision of an imagined future. The multiplication of crises, to which Spain is no stranger, such as geopolitical, health, economic and social crises, has an impact on everyone's daily lives and instills fear and insecurity.
The meetings are not based on mutually coherent proposals that resolve the contradictions of the different interests, the discussion will become impossible. We must accept that we are several generations who are forced to think the unthinkable, which is essential for the salvation of humanity. Yolanda, we want to hear what you propose and discuss what you offer us politically There are many of us who need, given the moment we live in, to hear an explanation Active Phone Number List of what is happening in society, in the economy, in institutions; in short, in the world. But not only the symptoms or feelings we suffer, but an explanation of the deep causes that produce the problems we face. Yolanda, we want to hear what you propose and discuss what you offer us politically. We want to know what is happening, we want to participate in the creation of a strategy for the present and the future. We need leadership that has worked on our reality. We need democratic leadership. Labor reform: a relevant political agreement Perhaps it is necessary to analyze and present a dramatic reality, which must be interpreted by the left, in order to give us an explanation. We, the people, need a lot of truth, and the truth is not going to be given by the right.
We cannot go, exclusively, with short-term strategies, on impulse, in the face of the anguish of an insecure future. It is better to lose elections for being honest than to win them with inadequate medium-term proposals. The world is reaching its limits. More certainly, the capitalist world, based on competition for profit and the desire for individual consumption, is reaching its limits. It is impossible to produce much more energy, metals, agricultural products, transportation of goods... This will cause a generalized growth in prices that will have enormous consequences on workers' incomes. Technology and innovation have, until now, been immersed in a market strategy to increase productivity and profits. It is increasingly urgent to change this strategy towards criteria for the provision of public goods. Technology has caused monopolistic concentration and inequality. Research effectiveness has decreased.
