墨尔本18岁的华裔少女Xialene Chang，近日获得了美国两所顶尖大学的全额奖学金，目前她还没有决定去哪所大学。Chang今年18岁，就读于墨尔本的Mac. Robertson女子高中，一直梦想着自己能够考取一所澳洲大学，成为家里第一个拥有学位的人。而就在上周，令人惊喜且难以置信的改变发生了——夏琳娜获得了美国哈佛大学和斯坦福大学的全额奖学金。

《时代报》4日报道，在电脑上查阅到录取通知书后，夏琳娜惊喜地狂呼：“我的天啊，我的天啊，我被哈佛录取了。”据悉，夏琳娜并不是一个普通的少女。在其16岁的时候，她就和自己的商业伙伴及高中同学Aditi Venkatesh共同发明了一项产品，并申请了专利，目前她们正在与投资者洽谈。此外，夏琳娜也十分擅长空手道，她曾在耶鲁大学(Yale University)暑期学校就读，并在VCE期间做过两份兼职工作，实现了经济独立。

Chang介绍说，她的父亲刚刚念完高中，而母亲没有念完高中。“我会是我们家第一个拿到学位的人。”Chang称，她的母亲Luisa在1981年的时候移民来到澳洲，当时是为了躲避东帝汶的动乱，在澳洲Luisa遇到了Chang的父亲，他来自台湾。
目前，夏琳娜尚未决定就读于哪所美国大学，但她很可能会选择科学专业，并追求自己的事业。夏琳娜说：“我对STEM(科学丶技术丶工程和数学)学科和女性创业方面的故事充满热情。”
