These photographs were inspired by Yeo Yuan's piece published last week. I don't have a macro lens so I have to get by using Nikon 85 mm, f/2.8 lens. Both were taken at 1/250s; f/10.0; ISO 250. Both were 'shadowed' a bit afterward. By looking at these pictures alone, they seem to be acceptable, but when compare with Yeo Yuan's 'bug', they immediately look plain. This is the difference between a 'not-so-bad' photo from an excellent one, and an amateur from a professional.
