【芝加哥侨学网报道】芝加哥著名侨领、芝加哥民主党民选代表马森柱，日前出席了在华盛顿举办的“全美民主党委员会”2016年大选筹备会议，并应邀参加奥巴马总统在白宫举行的晚宴招待会，随同马森柱参加白宫晚宴的还有芝加哥著名侨领赵培业。作为民主党资深党员、奥巴马总统的坚定支持者，马森柱还荣膺2015年度“总统合作伙伴”（Presidential Partners）。

马森柱表示，民主党阵营现已开足马力筹备2016大选，全美民主党委员会（DNC）已经进一步完善全美选民资料库、选民投票历史查询体系，建立2016大选志愿者培训体系，竞选筹款、共和党对手资料库等。今年1月在华盛顿召开的DNC会议，主要议题就是就上述各领域的事宜进行最新情况通报及策略讨论。

会议期间，奥巴马总统还特别在会议期间于白宫举行招待会晚宴，感谢全美各地民主党代表的辛勤努力。连续第二年荣膺奥巴马“总统合作伙伴”的侨领马森柱，还有邀请好友共同参加白宫总统招待会晚宴的荣誉。芝加哥著名侨领、杰出工商业主赵培业，经由马森柱推荐邀请，成为参加本次白宫总统晚宴的两位华人社区代表。

马森柱表示，在白宫总统招待晚宴上，奥巴马亲切接见全美各地的民主党代表，看到来自“家乡”芝加哥的朋友，总统尤其感到高兴。

马森柱表示，他是民主党的坚定支持者，因为民主党更重视工薪阶层、社会弱势群体，更重视中小企业业主的利益，他更是奥巴马总统的鉴定支持者。自奥巴马总统执政以来，虽然面临共和党派在国会的阻扰，美国政府在促进经济复苏、降低失业率、推动医疗保险改革等方面取得杰出成就。全美已创造了1060万新的就业机会，过去六年以来失业率更是创下低于6%的历史记录，美国国内制造业就业增长正迎来自1990年代以来的最快速增长，美国政府财政赤字在缩减，更多的家庭和个人可以享受可以负担的医疗保险等等。

马森柱特别提到奥巴马总统坚定推动并实施的“奥巴马全民健保”法案，让全美成千上万的居民受惠。奥巴马总统推动的全民健保法案，从法律层面上要求保险公司不得因为申请者有着某些既往病史而拒绝其申请，同时也根据居民收入水平提供政府资助，降低居民在医疗保险方面的负担，这让奥巴马政府在全美各地深得人心。

马森柱透露，他本人也是奥巴马全民健保的受益者。马森柱先生患有糖尿病，以前马先生的医疗保险是由马太太所在美国公司提供。十几年前马太太退休，马森柱本人就没有了医疗保险。因为长期患有糖尿病，作为工商业主的马森柱自己想买保险，结果即便是愿意每个月掏出一两千的保险费，也没有医疗保险公司愿意承保，所以，十几年来马先生都没有医疗保险。直到奥巴马总统推出全民医保法案，马先生才在2014月1月买到了医疗保险，每月保费也只需要300多美元。

在民主党派开足马力准备2016选战之际，马森柱表示，他会一如既往地支持民主党总统候选人，支持民主党议员在各级政府为工薪阶层、中小业主代言。

马森柱曾多次受到奥巴马总统接见，2013年1月曾应邀参加奥巴马总统连任就职典礼，2014年荣获白宫颁发“总统嘉许终身成就奖”（President’s Lifetime Achievement Award），并在2014、2015连续两年获得全美民主党委员会授予的“奥巴马总统的合作伙伴”( Member of President Obama’s Presidential Partners) ”荣誉。

作为芝加哥华裔社区知名侨领，马森柱还是国会议员丹尼戴维斯顾问、伊州州务卿杰西怀特亚裔顾问委员会主席，并担任中国侨联海外委员、中华海外联谊会理事、芝加哥美亚协会创会会长，曾担任芝城洪门致公堂主席、芝城华商会会长等诸多职务。

马森柱呼吁，在美华人应该积极参与美国的民主政治，他表示，无论支持民主党还是支持共和党，站出来投票最重要，华人社区投票率不高，民选代表就不会重视华人社区的诉求。 马森柱在鼓励华裔积极投票、参政的同时，马森柱还呼吁华人社区不要各自为阵，应团结起来，在必要的时候推举共同的候选人参与主流社会公职竞选。华裔居民也应该有公民意识，在涉及华裔社区利益，涉及华人自身权益的问题上，要敢于发声，敢作敢为，华裔社区有识之士定会给予各方面的支持。 （文：芝加哥侨学网   马森柱供图）
