美国周末兼职business的一些idea

很多人平常上班，没法一下子就辞职做business. 所以，一个好的过渡计划就是周末或者晚上找些活儿干。即使不打算quit full time工作的话，平常能够接些额外的工作，也可以贴补家用，搞不好还能够成就一份真正的business.

话说美国今年的inflation貌似特别严重。如果公司的福利待遇再不太给力的话，人确实会在这种状态下感到非常郁闷。但要想挣外快，我觉得需要分析一下自己的长处和兴趣所在, 还有就是市场需求。最好是三者都具备的情况下，也就是类似的"天时丶地利丶人和"的情况，才是最佳的情况. 那样，才会发现你的niche.

为挣钱而挣钱的事情，除非穷困潦倒了，我是不建议做的。没有passion, 迟早自己会觉得怅然无味的。因为一旦遇到挫折，就会打退堂鼓了.

曾经听一个美国的business man说过, "Money will come to you, when you are ready for it". 这个说法很赞赏。就是不要去刻意追求挣钱，最好的就是水到渠成。这样，人的心理状况会很安逸，比较超然。才不会过多的焦虑，否则对身心都有损害。即使挣钱了，但得不偿失.

其他，也可以试试LinkedIn. 其实找高薪兼职的工作，不一定去到专门兼职的网站上找，因为这些网站普遍pay的低。有些工作网站，比如说Monster.com, 也有part time job的广告。还有就是可以用Indeed.com搜索contractor方面的工作。

不是特别熟悉， 但我觉得Fiverr.com上面都是杂活，给人家run errand之类的。目前我经常听很多business方面的interview, 给我感觉很多美国的small business owners用oDesk外包virtual assistance. 比如说，作为part time秘书回email，或者整理digital documents, 或者到网上去查找某些信息等等. 所以我觉得oDesk对于想做兼职的人比较靠谱。

关于如何找用户的问题，这个经常有朋友问起来，就在这里写一写.

我试过elance等, 做过几个crawler的projects, 但效果不好。用户的期望值高，但又不愿意付太多的钱。而且，用户的project scope经常变，因为他们不懂技术，所以，在做之前没有预测到太多的问题。

我的建议是，尽量找懂一点技术的用户提供你的服务，这样好沟通。如果用户不懂技术，至少要找曾经做过这类项目的用户，因为他们知道what's involved, how time consuming it could be.

所以，找什么样的用户，是非常关键的。

好的用户，不太care钱，也肯出钱。这些用户往往更注重你做的软件的质量，他们懂得物有所值。

不好的用户，总是希望找到cheap的solution, 对软件开发的流程也不太熟悉,觉得像码积木一样简单。这类用户，你就是降价了，他们也不会满意的。

最差的用户，就是以合伙开**能的名义，实质上利用免费劳动力的那种。对待这种用户，要么不给他们做；要做的话，至少要收取base fee, 然后根据profit分成。但我一般prefer一手交钱，一手交货的形式。用户没有钱的那种，很多都是他们自己不愿意去贷款，也就是不愿意承担business风险。这种用户是非常危险的，很有可能你给他做了，白白浪费时间。原因是, 新的business失败的风险很大。
