【芝加哥侨学网报道】为迎接蛇年新春的到来，美国中西部地区湖北同乡会1月12日在南华埠会宾楼欢聚一堂。受湖北卫视、湖北省侨联邀请，美中湖北同乡会会长黄正东律师与芝加哥地区的湖北乡亲们一起，录制了向湖北乡亲及全中国电视观众新春拜年的问候短片，表达海外游子对祖国家乡的思念与诚挚祝福。

在座湖北乡亲们，有旅居美国近三十年的专业人士、工商业主、华人社区领袖，也有刚到西北大学、罗耀拉大学就读的年轻学子，芝加哥地区的“湖北佬”们欢聚一堂，乡音乡情，气氛热闹温馨。旅居大芝加哥地区的湖北老乡，可谓人才济济，大家在各自的事业领域均取得了杰出的成就，出席当日聚会的嘉宾，包括芝加哥地区著名华人律师、湖北同乡会会长黄正东，美中武汉大学校友会会长曾左韬，华中科技大学校友会会长李红卫，美华学社创办人之一、美国阿冈国家实验室核物理学家刘国奎，著名芝加哥交响乐团第一小提琴手夏三多女士等。

黄正东会长表示，受湖北卫视、湖北省侨正式邀请，美中湖北同乡会很荣幸参与邀请方发起的海外湖北乡亲新春祝福活动。为配合湖北卫视发起的海外湖北乡亲新春电视拜年活动，芝加哥地区的湖北乡亲们面对镜头，逐一自我介绍，并致予诚挚的新春问候与祝福，祝福湖北家乡的父老乡亲以及及全国人民，新春快乐、生活幸福、万事如意，祝福伟大祖国繁荣富强、国泰民安。

应湖北省侨联邀请，湖北同乡会会长黄正东、武汉大学校友会会长曾左韬、华中科技大学校友会会长李红卫，还特别面对镜头介绍他们所领导的华人社团组织在过去一年中的会务发展情况，芝加哥地区湖北乡亲们的生活、事业状况，并一致表示在新的一年中将继续促进湖北家乡与美中西部地区在经贸、文化、教育等各方面的友好交流与合作。

本次新春电视团拜活动，由湖北同乡会委托新亚电视录制，节目视频将在农历新春之际，由湖北卫视播出，具体播出时间在确定之后会通知湖北同乡会会员。

当天的聚会在会宾楼举行，会宾楼老板黄正贵也是湖北武汉人，为了本次聚会，黄正贵提前准备，并亲自下厨，为大家献上丰盛的湖北美食，在场湖北乡亲们品尝家乡美味，赞不绝口。“沔阳三蒸”、“武汉莲藕汤”、“武汉珍珠丸”、“糍粑鱼”、“面窝”、“热干面”，一道道湖北特色菜肴，热气腾腾地摆上餐桌，家乡人、家乡话、家乡菜，家乡情，现场气氛温馨动人。

美中湖北同乡会凝聚着芝加哥及美中地区的众多湖北乡亲，每年举办盛大夏日野餐联谊，促进乡亲们的交流与联系。大芝加哥地区的杰出湖北乡亲，除了自身事业有成之外，还积极参与芝加哥华人社区众多活动，积极促进湖北家乡与美中地区的友好交流。

2012年6月，由国务院侨务办公室、湖北省人民政府、武汉市人民政府共同举办的“第十二届华创会”在武汉举行，由黄正东会长率领的20多名芝加哥的华侨华人商界代表团应邀出席，并发起了第二十届华创会的重要活动“武汉-芝加哥双城论坛”。芝加哥华人商界精英与武汉市相关部门和企业负责人就城市规划与建设、绿色食品领域、通讯行业、现代服务业的合作前景进行了交流、互动与洽谈。

据黄正东会长介绍，过去一年是武汉市与芝加哥及美中地区的各项战略合作成果丰硕的一年：

2012年2月，湖北省委书记李鸿忠率团访问芝加哥，达成了武汉与芝加哥合作共识。

2012年4月，武汉市聘请芝加哥前市长戴利担任特别顾问，以推动武汉芝加哥双城合作。2012年5月，武汉市市委书记阮成发访问芝加哥，举办首次“武汉?芝加哥经贸高端酒会”， 并签署9大经贸项目，随后还设立武汉市驻芝加哥办事处，将东西方两座具有中部战略意义的城市拉得更近。

2012年6月，20多名芝加哥的华侨华人商界代表团应邀出席第二十届华创会，并举办“武汉-芝加哥双城论坛”。

2012年9月，第二次 “武汉?芝加哥经贸高端酒会”在芝加哥举行，由武汉市委副书记、武汉市市长唐良智率领的武汉市代表团，与美中地区的工商界 代表欢聚一堂，并签署了总价值达158亿人民币的十项项目合作协议，进一步推动武汉市与芝加哥及美中地区在经贸、科技、文教等各领域的友好合作。
