It is climate change that is causing this situation, however, the president of Brazil, Jair Bolsonaro, suspects that many of the fires were caused by man as a form of "war" against his government.

Environmental preservation has been a major issue in Brazil, however, the president decided to reduce the budget for environmental preservation.
The speech that Bolsonaro gave has been important, because it comes after the crisis unleashed by the increase in fires in the tropical forest. The president even clashed with the president of France, Emmanuel Macron, who raised the option of internationalizing the Amazon.
