2 fishermen found dead in southwestern Ill. lake

October 24, 2011 (HIGHLAND, Ill.) -- Authorities say two the bodies of two fishermen were found in a southwestern Illinois lake after their boat apparently capsized.
Madison County Coroner Stephen Nonn says the men's bodies were found Saturday. They were identified as 22-year-old Benjamin Zarzeck and 26-year-old David Foss. Both were of Troy.
Relatives told investigators that the men left for a fishing trip at Silver Lake on Friday night. They called 911 Saturday morning when the two men hadn't returned home and their vehicle and boat trailer were still at the lake.
Officials from the city of Highland and the Illinois Department of Natural Resources Conservation Police conducted the search.
Nonn says neither man was wearing a life jacket.
Autopsies are pending.
