监狱大乌龙 杀人犯被释放

乔治亚州亚特兰大附近一处监狱近日错误将一名已认罪的杀人犯释放，受害人家属在街上看到了杀人凶手后，监狱方面才意识到犯错。目前该犯人已被关回监狱，但狱方表示，作业程序并无错误，无人因此事受到处分。

该名杀人犯为赫斯顿（Javoris Hurston），他涉嫌在2015年在街头杀害了51岁男子霍金斯（Barry Hawkins）。案发后，赫斯顿遭到Fulton郡警局逮捕，交保后被释放，不久后，赫斯顿再次因严重攻击。在DeKalb郡被逮捕。

去年6月，赫斯顿被送回Fulton郡受审，他向法庭认罪，获刑20年。今年赫斯顿又被押回DeKalb郡接受严重攻击指控的审讯，本月15日，检方撤销了指控，DeKalb郡监狱将赫斯顿释放。受害人霍金斯的家人在街头看到了杀人凶手报警后，监狱才意识到杀人犯被错误释放。最终赫斯顿在被释放两天后，又被追逃小组再次逮捕，押回狱中。

DeKalb郡表示，Fulton郡警局没有向他们发送赫斯顿杀人案的处理结果，导致赫斯顿被错误释放。该郡监狱在作业程序上没有问题，因此无人因此事受到纪律处分。Fulton郡警局则表示，目前正在调查是否恰当发送了赫斯顿的信息。
