Overview
LargeChinese investment corporation currently seeks Director/VP level Globalmacro portfolio manager/research analyst to join its portfolio management team based in Beijing. This team is responsible for managing absolute return driven multi-asset strategies. The portfolio manager/research analyst will report to the senior portfolio manager and play key roles in managing existing strategy as well as develop new strategies.
Responsibilities
-Work closely with senior portfolio manager, investment officers andanalysts to formulate and implement strategies, optimal assetallocation and portfolio construction
- Contribute to the sourcing of attractive investment opportunities, select external managers, define investment mandates
- Perform and ensure effective due diligence on investment opportunities and third party managers, make written/oral recommendations
-Execute investments, direct the evaluation, negotiation and executionof agreements and other transaction related legal documentation ofinvestment opportunities
- Monitor portfolio performance, review capital and distributions relate to investments, ongoing financial performance of portfolio companies and securities
- Interact regularly with other portfolio managers, maintain contact with fund and brokerage communities
- Contribute to development and adaptation of tools to improve investment systems and process
Required Qualification
- 5+ years of oversea emerging market investment related experience
- Strong research, analytical and evaluation skills
- Buy side experience preferred
- Post graduate university degree in a relevant field.
- Fluent in both Chinese and English
- Team player and lead by example
