中国留学生秋游北密： 一周两车祸三死六伤

【芝加哥侨学网快讯】据中国驻芝加哥总领事馆领事保护组组长宋剑鸣领事介绍，10月16日遭遇车祸的学生，有四名是密西根大学（University of Michigan）学生，一名是密西根州立大学（Michigan State University）学生。

遇难者徐冉（女），年仅22岁，遇难者谢张勤（男）年仅23岁，其他三名受重伤中国留学生年龄也都是22岁、23岁。他们都是刚从国内本科毕业，来到美国深造的学生。截止发稿时，两名遇难者的父母家属，正在赶来美国的飞机上。三名伤者中，就读密西根州立大学的蔡伶琳伤势较严重，在动过手术后，情况已趋于稳定。就读于密西根大学安娜堡校区的程文婷、宫畅，近期将转往该校医院。

宋剑鸣表示，10月16日当天车祸发生后，他同领事馆教育组的两名官员连夜赶往出事地点。车祸发生后，杨国强总领事正在Kansas，杨总领事当即改变行程，由于当日已无晚班航班，杨总领事于10月17日乘坐早间航班抵达密州，并前往医院探视受伤留学生，了解事故原因。

宋剑鸣表示，遇难学生的后事处理将根据家属意愿进行。据悉，中国公民在境外遭遇车祸等意外死亡事件，将由当地中国驻外使领馆领事保护组负责通知国内家属，后事处理依据家属意愿办理，家属不能前来奔丧者，则由领事保护组官员负责遗体火化、开具死亡证明、骨灰邮寄回国等事宜。

据文学城消息，10月9日美国著名学府西北大学(Northwestern Univsersity)法学院的四位中国留学生在驾车赏枫叶的途中，汽车在I-41公路上失控撞上路边的大树，导致后座一位乘客当场死亡，车上重伤乘客仍在医院接受治疗，两名轻伤者所幸无大碍。

10月16日上午9时左右，5名密西根大学（University of Michigan）中国留学生，也是前往北部密西根州赏红叶的途中遭遇车祸，2死3重伤。两起车祸都发生在星期六，留学生们显然是利用周末时间前去秋游赏红叶。
据密西根州媒体《ConnectMidMichigan》报道，10月16日的车祸地点为Arenac County郡内I-75 号高速公路，5名中国留学生乘坐的车辆失控撞向路边的大树，车毁人亡。驾车者以及坐在前座的另外一名学生当场死亡，后面的三名学生严重受伤。

据密西根州州警透露，从现场车内遗留的地图来看，这位五名学生是准备前往 Tahquamenon Falls State Park, 并且标注前往附近旅馆的指南。

警方指出，驾车者为女性，从事故现场的车痕推断，车祸当时汽车已经完全失控，车速很快，汽车最后撞向路边大树造成惨剧。警方表示，车祸发生时，驾车者没有注意路况，车祸目击者也表示，当时出事车辆出现明显丧失常态，很可能是驾车者的注意力被分散了。

警方表示，边开车边发手机短讯有可能是造成事故的原因。

另据文学城北美论坛消息（胡飛/ALex Hu的日志），10月16日的惨剧中，驾车者为女学生，刚来美国不久，自称在国内驾车经验丰富，10月5才刚刚拿到美国这边的驾照，拿到美国驾照之前从未开过美国这边的高速。 这位女生是前往北部密西根看红叶旅程的组织者，共带来10多个人，租了两辆车。在这十多个人中，只有4个人有驾照，其中3人都是新手。

我一直劝她，不要去，不要去，去了你会死的，她还是去了，我说那你千万千万小心吧，却还是死了，仿佛眼睁睁看着一个人从自己的手中脱开摔下悬崖，生命就是这么一场戏，浑身上下颤抖了整整一个晚上，真正的死亡从来没有离得那么近过。

稍微缓过神一点，这个事情过几天国内媒体应该会报道

上周末已经有一车中国学生在去北密的路上车祸，一死一重两轻（可查昨天新闻）。这个周末又是一起，两死三重。两个死者和其中一个伤者前一天晚上还坐在我的车里，是我开车送他们回的家。

死者之一是当时的司机。一个女孩，新生。上周二我带她去考的驾照。她自称国内驾车经验丰富，但我坐在她车上短短十分钟，就说她考不过，并且笑称我带去考驾照的，从来没人第一次过。那时候，她在美国一共开过一小时的车，从来没有上过高速。然而，她考过了。

那天晚上她说周末要去北密，看秋天的红叶。这也算是我们这里一个传统的旅游项目吧。我说你跟谁去，她说她带一群新生。我说你在开玩笑，那是8小时的车程。

周四晚上她说她已经安排好了，带了十多个人，租了两辆车。这十多个人中一共只有4人有驾照，其中3人是新手，而且行程很紧。我说你不要去了。你这次去，50%的可能性不会enjoy, 5%的可能性你们会出车祸，0.5%的可能性你会把命丢掉。她说她没有理由不去，因为是她是组织者。我说那又如何？难道这次旅行的价值或者你的所谓承诺就大于你1/200的生命价值吗？她说是的。

我说如果我是你父母我绝不会让你去，如果我是你bf我绝不会让你去。但现在我没有理由强行阻止你。但我现在里外不是人。如果你平安回来，我这么多都是废话；如果你死在那里了，所有的人都会骂死我为什么不把你骗到家来锁在房里。现在我要跟你说的，只是千万当心：“高速上开在右道；一分一毫都不能超速；除非遇到集装箱，否则不要去超车；明天去租车公司补一个全险；关照车里每一个人时时刻刻都要系安全带。”这些话我祥林嫂一般说了不下五遍。唯独忘了提开车不能打手机。因为那天考驾照的路上她手机响过企图接，被我一言不发的扣下。

星期五她去我家旁边的mall购物，晚上又要去附近提车，于是来我家蹭饭。席间她接到电话说租的车出了茬子，座位不够，可能要有两个人不能去。于是我又开始怂恿她，说，昨天你找不到理由不去，今天这个理由总是充分了吧。她说早知道那么多事她就不去了，但她是组织者，她是司机，她现在不得不去。于是我又只能一遍又一遍地说那几句话。

饭后我曾想跟她拍一张合影。因为我们刚认识没多久，也没有过合影。但这个奇怪的念头就一闪而过了。饭后她急匆匆的催我出门，去我家附近接她另两个同学，从他们一同回她家。车上我担心她忘记，还特地在关照那两个同学，一定不要超速，一定要系安全带。期间那个男生，就是另一个死者，说他考出了驾照，开过一次高速，但不知道美国高速限速是多少。我说，这太恐怖了，你们这样明天就要开8小时的高速，你去随便哪个bbs发个贴说说，看看回帖的人里头有多少人会说你们这是去送死。

这就是我见他们的最后一面。后来她给我发了个短信问我“有没有安全到家”。我读到这条短信的时候已经是第二天的中午。而那时，她已经去了另一个世界两个多小时。

昨晚知道的消息，浑身不住的颤抖。后来裹了厚厚的被子，胃仍然在体内痉挛。第一次感觉到独居的恐惧。晚上只睡了不到六小时，当中醒过很久。突然开始不住的咳嗽，带着血腥。同学问起我跟她的对话，我说我电脑里还有大段大段的聊天记录，但是，不敢打开。

早上听说，事故现场，她手边有一个手机。

Social psychology中有一个很玄乎的理论，叫terror management theory. 说的是当人被prime死亡这个概念的时候，许多许多日常的看似完全不相关的attitude和judgment都会发生意想不到的改变。我从前上课的时候曾经很不相信，认为这至多是某一种已知的情感、情绪的反应。而就在昨晚，我突然信了，彻底的信了。我其实没有多么伤心，或者后悔，甚至害怕。我体验到的完全是在另一个完全完全不同的维度上的感觉——当死亡的概念是那么的鲜活的时候，人的无助，如同悬在空中。

  打开校内，发现有人送了她一个陀螺，说，“当陀螺转完了的时候，你就可以回来了吧？”

I-75, ARENAC COUNTY -- The University of Michigan is mourning the loss of two of their students after a fatal car crash Saturday morning on I-75.

Three other students are fighting for their lives at a Saginaw hospital.
NBC25 went to the scene to find out what happened.

A trip to the Upper Peninsula ends in tragedy.
Michigan State Police say two U of M students are dead, three other students seriously injured after crashing their Subaru on I-75 North in Arenac County.

It happened shortly before 9 a.m. Saturday.

“The witness was very shooken up at the time,” said Trooper Paul Frechette with Michigan State Police.
Police say the female driver and the male front seat passenger were dead when paramedics arrived.
The backseat passengers, two more females and another male were seriously injured and rushed to St. Mary’s Hospital in Saginaw.

One student ID from Michigan State was found, four others from U of M.

All of the victims are from China.

"I’m going to get a hold of the Chinese Consult and go through channels to get the family notified, and the added logistics of contacting people in Ann Arbor, fellow students, so it's going to be a lengthy process," said Trooper Frechette.

Inside the vehicle police found a map to Tahquamenon Falls State Park, attached to that map is hand written directions to nearby hotels.

Michigan State Police say the passengers in the car were planning on spending the day sightseeing.
Now remnants of that trip remain, tennis shoes, backpacks, and shopping bags litter the side of the highway.

Traffic was detoured for three hours while investigators gathered evidence.

“Tire marks, and examination of the vehicle indicates that the vehicle lost control, probably due to driver error and speed, the vehicle lost control and went off the roadway hitting a tree, likely causing the fatalities,” said Trooper Don Dutcher, a Crash Technician with Michigan State Police.

Police say the driver wasn’t paying attention to the road.

“The witness indicated there was erratic driving, and it may lead us to believe that there was a distraction of some sort that caused them to lose control.

Text messaging may be a factor.  It’s not known if the victims were wearing their seat belts.

Autopsy results on the two U of M students will be available Sunday.

　　同学们对校友车祸的后续情况都很关心，CSSA也尽量将自己能够获取的信息和大家分享。一方面让同学们了解整个事件的处理流程，一方面近些天来网络上各种不实的消息流传也难免会引起同学们的困扰。希望我们公开的信息能消除这些不实信息的影响。

　　关于车祸的发生原因目前已经确认的消息是，车祸不是由于酒后驾车，或是驾车发送短信所引起。关于之前NBC25发布新闻中涉嫌故意引起误会的那一段，我们正在咨询学校的法律顾问，看是否能够和对方交涉要求更正。

　　据昨日和汽车后座受伤的几位同学回忆，当时车内所有的人都系着安全带，车辆也在限速之内。在出事之前，汽车在右侧的慢车道上正常行驶，但突然车子失去控制。司机试图将车子稳定下来，但最终还是冲出了车道。虽然我们怀疑是汽车的机械原因造成了这起事故，但最终结果还要等警方调查报告出来以后才能有定论。

　　关于遇难者家属的赴美问题

　　徐冉的父母已经获得了美国签证，并且将在24小时之内抵达美国。谢张勤的父母将在北京时间周二申请赴美签证，如果一切顺利，将于周三抵达美国。具体的行程由芝加哥总领馆和密歇根大学负责安排。关于受伤校友两名受伤的校友宫畅和程文婷已经被安全的转移到了UM的校医院。宫畅髋部脱臼，程文婷将进行一次腿部手术，但两人均无大碍。

　　关于后续活动

　　鉴于两名校友刚被转移到校医院，虽然理解两位好友的心情，但我们不建议大家立刻去探望病人。UM CSSA已经递交了追思会的申请，周二可以收到最终的结果。如是，我们将在周五晚上的DIAG举行一个小型的追思会。

消息公开会议

时间：周三（10-20），5pm

地点：北校区Chesebrough Auditorium

内容：这是一个公开的会议，向所有的教职员工和学生开放，主要是公布这起事故的一些信息，并且接受与会人员的提问。会议厅大约能容纳250人

时间：周五（10-22），8pm-9pm

地点：中校区DIAG

内容：CSSA会提供蜡烛供大家追思自己的校友。现场也会有卡片将大家的想念写给在天堂的朋友。在现场也会有募捐活动。我们会统计每一名捐助者的姓名，并在之后公布善款的用途。

讲座“How do we cope when tragedy strikes”

时间：周六（10-23），6pm

地点：1717 Broadway

内容：“Several people will share their thoughts and personal experiences with living life in difficult times.”（教会主办）


　　关于网络上某些不负责任的言论

　　UM CSSA希望大家不要随意转载别人关于出事原因的推测，尤其是其他学校同学的主观臆测结果。即便司机是刚拿到驾照的新手，但如果是车辆本身造成的事故，我们谁又能保证自己能处理得更好呢？逝者已去，在不了解真相的情况下，将责任完全推给死者，这是一种懦弱的行为。在这个时候，我们更需要和自己的校友站在一边，为自己的校友争取到更多的权益。

　　目前网络上分享较多的一篇由普度大学学生写的日志（见附文）除了主观臆测之外更对我校遇难校友进行性别歧视式的攻击。我们已经给该名同学所在的院系发送了一封邮件，表达我们对其不负责任言论的不满，希望院系能够给我们一个处理。

　　另一篇当事人朋友的回忆日志（点击进入）确实出自真人之手，但最早是公布在其私人博客上，并在文中提及了“尊重死者，请勿转载”。但不幸依旧被别人转载。目前最初转载者已经发表声明表示道歉。
